Lily Pond Lodge, Builth Wells – One of our brand new Cabins and Canvas collection, Lily Pond Lodge is perched beside a picturesque pond where you’re likely to spot dragonflies and swallows skimming the surface. The owner’s own barn, just a short distance away, offers bed and breakfast, and also boasts a sauna and hot tub that guests are able to use free of charge. The wooden balcony is perhaps our favourite feature.

The Tower, Abergavenny – Want to treat your loved one like a true prince/princess? Book a stay at The Tower, a Grade-II listed building that’ll put you in mind of a fairytale as soon as you get eyes on it. The end wing of a house believed to date right the way back to the 16th century, there’s a hand carved four-poster king size bed in the bedroom, great oak beams and a central chandelier, not to mention a huge open fireplace!

Artists View, Brecon – If your idea of a romantic activity is taking a stroll through stunning Woodland Trust managed land, look no further than this converted cow byre just a short distance from Brecon. There’s an old bottle kiln fireplace to cosy up in front of when its cold, and a veranda to relax on when it isn’t. Be sure to visit the impressive hill fort of Pen-y-Crug while you’re in the area – if you can tear yourself from the veranda, that is!

Alma Cottage, Crickhowell – Wild strawberries and pink valerian adorn the ancient stone walls of this self-catering ‘quarryman’s cottage’ that is thought to date back to the 1800s. Inside, spiral steps lead up to the cosy bedroom while the original fireplace keeps things nice and toasty. Outside, you’re only a short walk away from three of Llangattock’s top pubs, as well the beautiful Church of St Catwg.
